Born and raised in southern New York, Kirsten Meehan is a poet, educator, editor, and storyteller. Her work has been featured in, among others, The Dillydoun Review, Mistake House, Wild Roof Journal, Barzakh Magazine. Noted for its lyricism and clarity of image, Kirsten’s poetry often engages with a sharp sense of place, an awareness of self and systems, and the stubborn present-ness of the past. She has taught writing to both children and adults and run generative exercises, revision workshops, and open mics for diverse ages and audiences.
