Born and raised in southern New York, Kirsten Meehan is a poet, educator, editor, and storyteller. Her work has been featured in, among others, The Dillydoun Review, Mistake House, Wild Roof Journal, and Barzakh Magazine. Noted for its lyricism and clarity of image, Kirsten’s poetry often engages with a sharp sense of place, an awareness of self and systems, and the stubborn presentness of the past. She has taught writing to both children and adults in addition to running generative exercises, revision workshops, and open mics for a wide range of ages and audiences.
